Muppett Memorial Booklet

Members will recall the sudden and tragic loss of our inspirational walks leader and Committee Member Michael Pascal – Muppett – last summer.

We are delighted to report that a special booklet commemorating Muppett’s life and work has just been published. This outlines one of his favourite DalesBus walks, an eight mile classic ramble between Burnsall and Grassington via Hebden Gill and Barras, using the 74 or 874 bus, which so he often led for us. This has been written and researched by FoDB Chair Colin Speakman with a special section about Muppett the singer-songwriter by Muppett’s step-son, the musician Mat Palmer, with OS maps prepared by John Sparshatt and the overall brilliantly – and entertainingly – designed by Muppett’s former colleague Habiba Naib.

All proceeds from sales will be divided between the Friends of DalesBus Bus Fund to support DalesBus and the Children’s Liver Foundation, both causes which Muppet did so much to promote and support.
